About two weeks ago, I wrote that the up-and-coming singer and piano player, Joe Stilgoe, was one to watch. It’s good to be able to report that the never easily impressed broadcaster Russell Davies also thinks he’s something special.
A couple of weeks ago we mentioned the then forthcoming appearance at Ronnie Scott’s Club in London of JOE STILGOE. We were lucky enough to attend one of the concerts and can only state that the occasion exceeded our expectations. His assurance and the richness of his voice are a joy and and as for his pianism – well, in the words of Sir John Dankworth, they remind one of the young Oscar Peterson, a compliment with which we heartily concur.
