When Coventry Jazz festival began 10 years ago, I thought it was going to be as short-lived as most things of its kind are in Covenry. How wrong could I have been?
This year’s festival – the tenth – which features, amongst others, the legendary South African trumpeter Hugh Masekela – a “must hear” if there ever was one -, BBC Big Band with Liane Carroll and Alan Barnes, guitarist, Phil Robson’s Six Strings & The Beat, and acoustic guitarist Martin Taylor, looks as attractive as any that’s been held so far.
